    Description:

    The Sales Director for The Americas is responsible for the management of 10 distribution partners in Central and South America across all of Anton Paar's product lines. The Director will develop strategies to achieve short and long term sales goals in addition to being hands on closing orders as necessary. 

    Responsibilities & Qualifications

    • Manages and directs distributors to achieve sales goals within their countries
    • Designs sales and marketing programs to achieve short and long term sales strategies
    • Recommends sales quotas and goals for all product lines
    • Assists sales personnel with closing orders as necessary
    • Assists in developing new markets and watches industry and market trends for potential new target markets
    • Applies strategies to increase market penetration, e.g., sales promotions, trade in programs, obsolescence programs, targeted discount programs for specific industry sectors, etc.
    • Provides information for marketing campaigns and develops content for e-mail blasts, mailings, print, and on-line advertisements.
    • Defines which exhibitions and conferences we should attend
    • Reviews monthly cost account reporting and sales vs. quota data from distributors
    • Frequent travel throughout Central and South America Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, engineering, physics or similar field
    • Must be fluent in English and Spanish
    • 5 years of experience in large account management, sales of analytical instrumentation, and the beverage industry
    • 5 years of experience in successfully applying business and marketing concepts
    • 5 years of industry sales experience
    • Knowledge of product management processes are a plus
    • Attends mandatory annual technical and occasional manufacturer training courses each year to stay current on new developments in the field
    • In-depth knowledge of key industries like Beverage and Petrochemical Must maintain a current and valid driver’s license and passport
