The Technical Sales Representative will be responsible for direct sales of mechanical surface characterization instrumentation and services to customers covering Northern CA, OR, WA, ID, MT, CO, WY, & UT with an ideal base close to Portland, Seattle or the Bay Area. The product lines include atomic force microscopes, tribology, scratch testing, and micro/nano-indentation instrumentation. This position generates revenue by soliciting and obtaining orders; understanding and interpreting technical requirements; providing technical solutions; training customers, ensuring customer satisfaction and developing accounts.
The total salary range for this position is $104,000 - $146,000/yr depending on capital equipment sales experience, with specific industry experience preferred. Our commission is uncapped, pays monthly from dollar one, and is accelerated (higher commission percentage) above target. We also offer profit sharing bonuses.
This position requires up to 80% travel. On average, overnight travel is required three nights/week within the individual territory. Additional travel may be required for technical product training either inside the US or possibly the EU, as well as to conferences within the region.
