The Technical Sales Representative will be responsible for direct sales of mechanical surface characterization instrumentation and services to customers covering Anton Paar USA's Eastern region (SC, NC, VA, WV, MD, DE, PA, NY, NJ, CT, RI, MA, VT, NH, & ME). The Representative would work from home with an ideal base in Philadelphia or the tri-state area. The product lines include atomic force microscopes, tribology, scratch testing, and micro/nano-indentation instrumentation. Specific examples include the Tosca 400, Ultra Nanoindentation Tester, and Tribometer. This position generates revenue by soliciting and obtaining orders; understanding and interpreting technical requirements; providing technical solutions; training customers, ensuring customer satisfaction and developing accounts.
The base salary range for this position is $84,000 - $106,000/yr depending on capital equipment sales experience, with specific industry experience preferred. The total compensation at target is $104,000 - $146,000. Our commission is uncapped, pays monthly from dollar one, and is accelerated (higher commission percentage) above target. We also offer profit sharing bonuses and company cars.
